Mentoring Programme Overview

Empower World's fully online program is for people on the path to Associate Certified Coach (ACC) accreditation and is run twice annually. The training is geared to support participants develop their coaching skills, build on their strengths, increase confidence and support them to find their own style of coaching.

Upon completion of this 10-hour programme, participants will be prepared to sit the coach knowledge assessment (CKA) and gain their ACC  level qualification with the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

Eligibility: Participants must have completed an ICF Approved Coach Training Programme from either Empower World or another approved organization.

The ICF Mentoring Programme Includes:

  • 10 Hours of mentoring to meet ICF accreditation requirements under the ACSTH route
  • Supervision and feedback on areas of strength and development
  • Exercises to deepen and expand skills
  • Understanding the requirements for ICF certification
  • 1:1 Feedback on recorded coaching sessions
  • 7 hours of the mentoring program are group online based and 3 hours are one to one.

Through this intensive and highly-interaction program, participants are supported to:

  • Increase their confidence in using coaching structures and tools,
  • Identify their own 'blind spots' in coaching,
  • Ask more powerful questions,
  • Listen at a deeper level,
  • Build a trusting partnership with the client,
  • Use intuition to create awareness,
  • Develop clarification skills that adds another level to the coaching conversation, and
  • Prepare for application to the International Coach Federation ACC qualification.

1. Communicating powerfully

awareness

1. Planning and goal setting
2. Designing actions
3. Managing progress

Session 5

1. Bringing it all together
2. Tips on submission to ICF

The remaining three hours of the 10-hour program are one-to-one mentoring; utilising participant's recorded coaching session. Specific and tailored feedback is provided to the participant to support the strengthening of their skills.
