From Corporate Career to Coaching Google, Estée Lauder and Lululemon

The story of Monia Pyraki - Life Coach, Business Mentor and Wellness Entrepreneur

Where Monia started
Monia Pyraki had a good life on paper. A high-paid corporate job in Doha. Stability. Success by most measures. And yet - something was missing.
She couldn't name it exactly. But she felt it.
"I knew there was more - but I didn't know what that 'more' was. I had a bit of self-doubt - can I change careers? Can I become a coach? I had all these question marks. The main thing that brought me was I needed to go deeper into myself."
She had always been drawn to personal development - reading, workshops, even flying to the US for a Tony Robbins event. But what she was looking for wasn't a motivational experience. It was something deeper. More real. More lasting.
That's when she discovered Empower World.

The decision to train
Monia joined the Empower World ICF Approved Coach Training Programme in Doha without knowing exactly where it would lead. She wasn't certain she would become a coach. She just knew she needed to understand herself better - and to develop the skills to ask better questions and listen more deeply, both for herself and for the people around her.
What she found was more than she expected.
"After the coach training, doors opened - not because the doors weren't there, but because I could finally see them. I got to know myself better through getting clarity on my values, what was important, and all the limiting beliefs I had. I managed to create a vision I was excited about - and not scared of."
She also found something she hadn't anticipated: a community of like-minded people who became a genuine source of connection, safety and belonging.
"I had everything, but I was missing real, true connection - and being allowed to be myself, to be vulnerable, to be in a safe space where I could tap into everything I needed to tap."

The leap
With that clarity came courage. Monia left her corporate job - not impulsively, but from a place of genuine self-knowing.
"I took the leap after the training. The answer was there already - but the training helped me trust my abilities to create what I have today."
She built a coaching and wellness practice in Doha, working with individuals, partnering with local wellness spaces, creating events and experiences that blended her coaching skills with her background in business and events. It was working. She was living her purpose.
And then everything changed again.

Starting over - with six-month-old twins
Monia relocated to Zurich, Switzerland. Her twins were six months old. She knew almost nobody. The culture was different. Her entire coaching community was thousands of miles away.
"I felt like I lost my community. I had to start from scratch. It was a very lonely journey. It was hard."
But this time, she had something she hadn't had before. The tools. The self-awareness. The practices. The questions she had learned to ask herself.
"All the tools I learned through the training really helped me ask myself questions. I started with simple practices - a gratitude practice, a chat with someone from the peer group. And that helped me, one step at a time, find my way again."
She didn't see it as starting over. She saw it as continuing - differently.
"It wasn't a restart. It was just continuing what I started, but in a different way."

What she built
Today, Monia runs Monia Pyraki Coaching and Wellness - a business that blends one-to-one coaching, workshops, retreats and corporate wellness experiences. She has worked with teams and individuals at Google, Estée Lauder, Lululemon and more - bringing the coaching skills, the business acumen and the deep care for people that she has always had, now fully expressed and professionally grounded.
The coaching skills didn't just help her build her business. They changed how she shows up in every part of her life - including as a mother.
"A teacher came to do an English lesson with my boys and a conflict came up at school. I started asking questions - not telling them what was wrong or right, just asking. The teacher said: 'I'm impressed. You didn't tell them what was right or wrong. You just asked questions.' These skills have helped me even in my everyday life."

What she says to anyone considering it
"I always say - start with the basic coach training, because it's a gift for yourself. You don't need to make huge decisions. You just need to start. And then the decisions come in a very natural way."
"There is never the right time. Just take the first step."
"If I can do it, anyone can do it. These skills are a foundation for life."
"I honestly, highly, highly recommend Empower World training. It's been life-changing for me. It helped me tap so much into myself and create all the skills I have today. I'm forever grateful - and I always talk about Empower World everywhere, to everyone."

Could this be the beginning of your story?
Monia didn't know where coach training would take her when she started. She just knew something was calling her forward.
If you recognise that feeling - we'd love to talk.
